COMMUNITY GARDENS

American Community Gardening Association 2015

The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) is a bi-national nonprofit membership organization of professionals, volunteers and supporters of community greening in urban and rural communities. The Association recognizes that community gardening improves people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for neighborhood and community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, beautifying neighborhoods, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.

BAKE SALE - for No Kid Hungry

No Kid Hungry - Share Our Strength & Food Network 2015

By connecting kids in need with nutritious food and teaching their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals, the No Kid Hungry campaign surrounds children with healthy food where they live, learn and play.

Share Our Strength’s focus is on long-term change – the difference between just feeding a child today and making sure that children in the United States never go hungry.

Since 1984, Share Our Strength has raised and invested more than $376 million in the fight against hunger —including more than $10 million through Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry.
